PIRU Time Trials

I heard from CVC member Terry:
I rode this December 2000, and it appears that Tren will be running this on the first Sunday of each month. You might want to check with the organizer: Tren Morris 949-859-5076
CVC has had more folks confirm that Tren is running the Piru Time Trial on the first Sunday of the month. Please check out Tren's web site at www.uncletren.com

This is a 20 kilometer (12.5 miles) time trial course, slightly rolling hills, total elevation of course is 300 feet. It is held on the first Sunday of each month, unless it is a Holiday weekend, then it is on the second Sunday.

Categories:

All USCF categories, CAT I-II, CAT III, CAT IV, CAT V, Women, Masters 45+*, Juniors.

Public categories are by age groups; 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45+*

* We will create extra categories if there are five or more people to fit that category.

Directions:

Head north on the I-5 to Highway 126, go west 12 miles to Torrey Road, turn left, follow Torrey Rd to Guiberson Rd. From the Conejo Valley take the 23 through Moorpark toward Fillmore until you hit Guiberson Rd (just past the Elkins Ranch Golf Course). The starting point is about 7 miles up Guiberson. Please park safely. Do not enter the orchards for any reason, these are private areas.

Fees:

Registration is day of event only, no pre-registration. Fee is $15 for USCF and Public. Junior fee is $10. These fees cover USCF License fees.

Prizes:

We give medals and ribbons 5 deep in each category. If your category has 5 or more riders, and you win your category, you get a free time trial coupon for the next event. Also, if you set the fast time of the day, you will receive $1 for each USCF rider there, i.e. if there are 25 USCF riders you get $25 cash.

Time:

First rider is away at 9:00 AM. Another rider takes off every 30 seconds after that. Plan to arrive a little early to give yourself a little time to fuss 'n' fiddle with the bike, register, and then get some serious warm-up time in.
