About the Ride

As cyclists, our reasons for riding are many: beautiful scenery, managing stress, setting and achieving goals, staying fit, socializing, etc. By participating in the annual CVC Picnic Ride & Benefit, we ride with an additional goal: Giving back in support of the local community, open space and the sport we all love.

In the past, we have donated to local causes such as:
-Mike Nosco Foundation
-Conejo Open Space Foundation
-Santa Monica Mountain Foundation
-Sapwi Bike Park
-Boy Scouts
-James Storehouse
-Bicycle Angels
-League of American Cyclists
-Streets are for Everyone

This year CVC will continue its support of last year's donation recipients:
  • Conejo Open Space Foundation is using its resources to help restore many of the trails
  • James Storehouse : James Storehouse is a 501(c)(3) community based non-profit established in 2012. We are located in Newbury Park, CA and we partner with local public and private child welfare agencies. From cribs to college, James Storehouse supports children in foster care, youth aging-out of foster care.
  • Bikes for Victims of the Palisades and Eaton Fire

A $75 minimum registration/donation allows us cover expenses for the ride and still be able to donate to the three organizations listed above. You must register in advance, registration will close 4 days prior to the event. You may purchase extra lunches for family and significant others on the registration page ($16).
