About the Ride

As cyclists, our reasons for riding are many: beautiful scenery, managing stress, setting and achieving goals, staying fit, socializing, etc. On May 4th, at the Third Annual CVC Picnic Ride & Benefit, we will add the purpose of GIVING BACK! to our many reasons for riding by donating to the local community and the sport we all love.

This year CVC will continue its support of last year's donation recipients:

  • The Mike Nosco Foundation uses its annual charity ride to to provide financial relief to families and/or individuals who are confronting a life threatening illness, many of whom live in the Conejo Valley or a part of the cycling community.
  • Conejo Open Space Foundation is using its resources to help restore many of the trails and out houses destroyed by the the Hill fire, Woosley fire, and the spring rains.
  • Santa Monica Mountain Foundation - Nearly 90% of the Santa Monica Mountains National Park land has burned during the Woosley Fire, including many beloved trails, structures, and landmarks like the Hollywood famous Western Town at Paramount Ranch, site of movies and TV shows like Planet of the Apes, CBS’s Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, and most recently HBO’s Westworld.

A $70 minimum registration/donation allows us cover expenses for the ride and still be able to donate to the three organizations listed above. You must register in advance, registration will close one week prior to the event. You may purchase extra lunches for family and significant others on the registration page ($15/adults and $10/children under 12). No extra lunch tickets will be sold on the day of the event. The Rides begin at 8:00 am for the 75 mile route and 8:30 am for the 50 mile route.

Your registration/donation includes route slips for all ride distances (including an option to shorten the 50 mile ride), supported regroup fully stocked stops and SAG support. The post-ride celebration will continue at the start location and will include lunch from a gourmet food truck, music, a silent auction, and more!  AND... if you register by April 10th, you get a very cool performance shirt included in your price. Remember…This is your ride, your day and your event. Sign up now to participate in a club event that helps make our community a better place!
